THE TOUR

For the first time in the history of Squash, retired legendary players are not only fit enough to continue playing, but have the thirst and desire to battle their rivals on court again. The Legends Tour has been created to provide a platform for such battles; incredible showmanship on-court, and unrivaled entertainment off-court. These events are not just a chance to watch some of the sport’s best play their game; through Pro-Am sessions, coaching clinics and plenty of social occasions, the event becomes an unforgettable experience.

The Legends Squash tour consists of 3 Tournament tiers: Platinum, the premier Legends event, consists of the top 8 players (max 2 wildcards) battling it out for the highest ranking points and prize money on the Tour, on a portable glass court in squash-centric cities. These events are owned and operated by Legends of Squash. Full media coverage, sponsor hospitality, Pro-Am matches, and entertainment provide an unrivaled corporate and spectator experience. A Gold Legends event is run by external promoters, with their pick of 6 Legends players (max 2 wildcards) to play on a glass court at their chosen venue. A Club Legends event consists of 4 Legends players (max 1 wildcard) playing at your local club, with full support from the Legends of Squash staff.

Hosting a Legends Tour event is an incredible opportunity to not only enjoy entertainment from some of the greatest players in the world; but a chance to get to know each and every player through a gamut of on and off-court experiences. As time progresses, legendary players will be given the opportunity to continue their careers post-retirement from the professional game; a chance to not only carry on their love of the game, but to have the ability to reach out to sponsors and spectators in an intimate atmosphere. 2010 marks the first year for Legends of Squash events, with many tour dates to come in the future.
